A 13-year-old Rohingya boy was critically injured after the Myanmar military airstrike hit Wa Shi La (Wacheela) Village in Buthidaung Township, Rakhine State, on Wednesday morning, according to local residents.

The attack reportedly took place at around 10:30 a.m., when explosions struck the village, sending shockwaves across the surrounding area and forcing residents to flee in fear.

The injured child has been identified as Sawdula Amin (Md. Sawyedullah), the son of Mohamed Basir. Local sources said he suffered catastrophic injuries in the blast, resulting in the loss of one of his legs. His condition is reported to be critical.

Residents said the airstrike also wounded several other Rohingya civilians. While the exact number of injured has not yet been confirmed, witnesses described scenes of confusion and panic as people rushed to help those caught in the explosion.
